Founded in the exuberant design environment of the mid-1960s, Giovanetti’s first big splash came with the now-classic and collected Anfibio convertible sofa, designed by Alessandro Becchi. Seen in permanent museum collections around the world (and currently at NYC’s MOMA as part of “Artists Choice: Trisha Donnelly“), the Anfibio looks as good today as it did in 1970.  

Not one to rest on their laurels, Giovannetti consistently turns out exciting and inviting furniture from their in-house designers and the visionary architects with whom they work. Take the Anenome, designed by Gioancarol Zema, introduced in 2011 at the Milan fair. The Giancarlo Zema Design Group is an architecture studio in Rome, specializing in semi-submerged architectural structures, marine parks, floating habitats and yacht design.
